The hundred degree weather couldn't keep us away from some outdoor fun and education, so off we went to Edwin Warner park for a celebratory kids' picnic. We watched a beekeeper demonstrate how these guys make honey and wax, and adults and kids, alike, were fascinated! A short walk through the organic garden let its sample lemon balm and peppermint herbs. But the best part was Aunt Sooshies area where we made a bird feeder, planted a pumpkin seed and even made seed packets! You guys loved it and you loved hanging out with Oliver, too. It was hot, but outdoor cousin fun was really cool!
