Deep sea fishing

Our first annual family deep sea fishing trip in Destin on Swoop 2! The boys did very well considering we went twenty miles out to fish and the whole trip took five hours! Hugh and I spent a lot if time reeling and baiting, but the boys were troopers with very heavy poles that were a bit unwieldy with a snapper attached!
Tranter caught a trigger fish that has huge teeth, but wasn't a keeper, so it had to go back. While Tanner was a little disappointed, I was glad to see that ugly fish go overboard! Evan caught a white snapper and a lot of mingos, another form of snapper. One unfortunate guy on our trip caught a five foot bull shark, which delighted the boys from start to finish...that was definitely the highlight of the trip for them! Again, I was glad to see that one go back into the water!
It was a great day! We even got to see dolphins jumping in the boat's wake on our trip back! Love seeing them in the wild...another amazing facet of God that feels like a privilege to witness.
And the best blessing of all..... Dramamine! Hugh and the boys were hopped up on it, but no one got sea sick!! Sweet little Evan...it was your first time to have a dose of Dramamine, and it actually worried me at one point, you were so very quiet....and then it wore off! (;
