For Tanner's fourth grade science project, he chose to demonstrate what removed bacteria from your hands the best. The contenders in this showdown?? Bar soap, pump soap and hand sanitizer. It was surprising to all of us that hand sanitizer did much worse at effectively removing germs from your hands than did plain ol' bar soap. Not that we will be converting to using bar soap anytime soon (YUCK!), but we do wash our hands a lot more when we go out to eat rather than just slather on hand sanitizer.
And yes, he won first place for the 4th grade overall! That's my boy!! So proud of your hard work, Tanner!
