March is always such a fun time for all of us...it is a month long celebration of birthdays beginning with mine on the 13th, Braeden's on the 14th, Leann's on the 16th and Aunt Dixie's on the 16th. The above collage shows the kids having a great time at Braeden's eighth birthday...it still amazes me that he is already 8 years old...wow.
It is always a great party at Chuck E. Cheese's. How can you go wrong with games galore and a big giant mouse?? Ok, it was really funny to watch Braeden this year, though. The games, pizza and friends were a HUGE hit, but it was hilarious to watch him slowly sink into his seat when Chuck E. actually got close to him and sang Happy Birthday to him. He was trying so hard to be nice without being obvious that he was 50% mortified and 50% laughing hysterically at how goofy Chuck E. Cheese was acting. Ok, so eight is about the time that you probably can't pull off Chuck E. Cheese as a party where he focuses his "less than coolness" on you, but hey, even at at "thirty-something", I still have a good time there trying to win the jackpot on skee ball!! Evan, however, thinks Chuck E. is just about the scariest thing he has seen and cried the entire time he was performing. Yeah, we might wait a few years on Disney if giant mice give you that reaction.....
And check out that amazing birthday cake that my sister made freehand....just from a picture of Yoda...it tasted just as extraordinary as it looked. She did a fantastic job and it was a great party!
