The Leprechaun trap

Kindergarten is really so much fun!! Here is Tanner proudly displaying his leprechaun trap that he created entirely by himself for his kindergarten class. Apparently, there was a leprechaun on the loose in their classroom that left the chairs upside down in their classroom and things "just not quite right" while they were at home. So, the kids had to come up with their own version of a trap to hopefully catch him by St. Patrick's day. Tanner LOVES crafts and launched into this project with wild abandon. He gathered clovers from the yard to embed in the rafia ribbon that would hopefully entangle him when he got into the box to check out those clovers. And, thanks to Uncle Kam, we had some extra golden tokens left over from the Chuck E. Cheese birthday party that were also glued to the box to entice that crafty little guy into the trap. He was so proud...and it was really so clever!! I asked him if he caught it, or if anyone did for that matter, and he simply stated, "No, Mom. They are only the size of a fingernail and very hard to catch."
"Oh," I said. "Well, maybe next time. It was a great trap anyway."
"Mom- You do know that leprechauns aren't real don't you?? You can't really catch them in a trap."
I love it...So sweet....so wonderfully made and so amazing!!
