Up close and personal

Aunt Sushi, Uncle Teev, and Oliver won a backstage tour at the zoo, and given the affinity for animals that you boys have, they asked us to join them on this exclusive peek at the animals from a zoo keepers perspective. It was AMAZING! We toured the commissary and saw the massive amount of time and effort that goes into preparing food for each and every animal at the zoo...in precise sizes and measurements. We also got to see the anteaters and this gorgeous giraffe up close and personal. This giraffe was staggering in size. I really had no idea how very large and tall these creatures are. And for this massive height, they are so very graceful. He ate an entire head of romaine lettuce from our hands in about 5 minutes...leaf by leaf. His large mouth and tongue made massive amounts of saliva that brought squeals from both of you when that tongue made contact with your hands. (I wasn't brave enough to touch that slippery tongue....seeing it was plenty for me!!) It was a great experience that we still talk about. Thank you, Fotopulos family, for such a treat!!
