Armed with new poles not even out of the box and the notion of catching "the big one", we headed to the dock on Redfish Lake to see if we could outsmart its occupants. It was hot, humid, and heart-lifting for this mom to watch her boys fishing....with the tangled lines, lost bait, impatience, and botched casts, it was a fantastic memory altogether! We didn't catch any fish, but it was fun to watch Tanner bait his own hook for the first time and for Evan to learn to cast all by himself!
We rely on Capt Bob to take us to the beach on his motorized pontoon boat during the day, but after 5 p, when Capt Bob goes home for the day, if you want to go to the beach, then grab a kayak or a canoe
and paddle across Redfish Lake! We thought this was a fun, unique way to get to the beach and the boys seemed to enjoy it too! Tanner even kayaked himself today!
