We "do" fall festivals every year. This year, the Blood family invited us to a new one called Owen Farm, and at first glance, it didn't seem any different than any other farm that we visited...pumpkins, hayride, festival food, and music. But there was this one hidden jewel that the kids very quickly discovered....a zipline. Here are some pics of the "gearing up"..
It really took a lot for me to say yes to this adventure. I need to know who is running this line (besides the teenager in the do-rag and baggie pants), when was the last inspection done by the state on this contraption, how sober is the young man running it, and various other questions that a mama needs to know before she lets her babies be strapped to the potential "zipline of death". But, it was a farm, and there were no question and answer sessions, so the best I could hope for was sending Hugh and Kevin over to the other side where the kids would be ziplining to and pray that this was a safe thing to do.
