Ok...I love Groupons and trying new things, so when the opportunity arose to check out ice skating as a family...on the cheap...who could resist??
Tanner was increedibly good and we guess that was due in large part to the roller skating they practice in gym for two weeks beginning the second grade year. Evan, who is very athletic, struggled somewhat in the beginning, but once he got his hands on the little metal "helper", it was a total blast...and workout!...for all of us. We liked it so much, the boys are taking ice skating (not FIGURE skating-as Hugh is hoping I clarify) lessons in the spring. I think learning to skate is cool, I just hope I am not creating hockey players...that can make a mama cringe!!
