I knew it was time. It had been nagging the recesses of my mind for awhile. I kept coming up with excuses about why it wasn't a good time. But, family is family...and relationships just fade if you don't give them a little time and attention, so we packed up the car, picked up Mammy, and headed north to visit family in Michigan! We had a great time from start to finish. Even the time in the car was spent laughing and snacking. It was really soul lifting to reconnect with my dad's side of the family. Distance and time may be barriers to relationship, but they can easily be overcome....and it was well worth it on many levels!
