Civil War Field Trip

Both of you boys are covering the Civil War in your history classes at FCA right now, so we couldn't pass up a field trip to the Carter House and Carnton Mansion. I was embarrassed to admit that I have lived in Williamson County all of my life and have never even visited either of these historical locations. It was much more interesting than I anticipated it being and the actual bullet holes in the walls and time with your friends kept the both of you interested, as well. The gardens were spectacular with bunches of hanging grapes, amazing wild flowers and a gigantic tree that you guys just couldn't resist trying to climb!
