Celebrating the Fourth

The Fourth of July was a welcome surprise in that it remained both dry and relatively cool for the most of the day. The boys were so worried that predicted rain would spoil all the fun with the fireworks, but that was not the case. We headed out to Crockett Park late that afternoon for some bbq (of course) and some early birthday celebrations for Tanner and Oliver. Tanner was turning 5 on July 6th and Oliver was turning 1 on July 7th.....reasons to celebrate for sure!

The July fourth was even more fun as we got to share it with Jim and Sherri Simerson and their family from Michigan. They brought bubble blowers for the boys and they had a blast with those....(I think Uncle Teev did too!!)

And to top it all off, an amazing sunset. I was no good at filming the actual fireworks, but the sunset just prior to the light show was God's own little light show and it was spectacular!
