With Evan recovering from some nasty upper respiratory virus, we had very little that we felt we could actually do today without risking the spread of viral germs to others. Evan, little trooper that he is, has handled the whole thing well...as usual. He amazes me that he can still swing, run, jump and slide all with a 101 temperature. God really did make them resilient!
So, we decided to head to the great outdoors, where our spirits would be lifted by the magnificent fall weather- bright sun, blue skies- and Evan's germs couldn't really become someone else's nasty virus next week(:
Hugh and I ran a few miles (trying to prepare for next weekend's Race for the Cure) while pushing Evan in the stroller and Tanner biking alongside. We finished off the day with a few minutes at the playground...we couldn't resist...it was deserted, for some reason, and we had the run of the place for some wild hide and seek. While playing we noticed these massive groups of bugs...everywhere. The boys were enthralled, and really who wouldn't be? I'll let the pictures of the day speak for themselves.........

Sure hope that Evan is feeling better. You couldn't tell that he was under the weather. I like the cool bugs. Never seen anything like that. Enjoy the wonderful fall weather.
